The Montgomery County Democratic Committee held it's annual Endorsement Convention on Thursday, February 19th at the Doubletree Hotel in King of Prussia, PA. At the convention, the recommended slate of candidates was unanimously endorsed, including Sean Kilkenny, who spoke at the convention of his lengthy experience as a Federal Prosecutor in the Army reserves, his career as a Lt. Colonial in the Army, and his life experience as the son of a police officer.

Said Adina Birnbaum, Co-Chair of the Springfield Democrats, "I believe Sean will be a strong leader in the Sheriff's Department. He has demonstrated his leadership by bringing together communities which have worked together to achieve common goals. His experience in the Army and dedication to his country translate well into the role he will play in providing security and safety to the citizens of Montgomery County."

In addition to Kilkenny, the entire Democratic slate of candidates endorsed were County Commissioners Josh Shapiro and Dr. Valerie Arkoosh, Kevin Steele for D.A., Prothonotary Mark Levy, Recorder of Wills D. Bruce Hanes, Clerk of Courts Ann Thornburg Weiss, Treasurer Jason Salus, Coroner Walter Hofman, Jeanne Sorg for Recorder of Deeds, and Karen Sanchez for Controller. There were three nominated Judicial candidates, Dan Clifford, Natasha Taylor Smith and Todd Eisenberg.

Use of military rank, job titles and photographs in uniform does not imply endorsement by the Department of The Army or the Department of Defense.
