NORRISTOWN >> The solicitor of Norristown and several other Montgomery County towns is moving out of a Jenkintown law firm and creating a new law office in Norristown.
Sean Kilkenny, a shareholder and chairman of the municipal law practice at Friedman Schuman, will move to the new office at 17 E. Airy St., Norristown on April 1, Kilkenny said.
Norristown council hired Sean Kilkenny LLC, effective April 1, at the end of the Tuesday night council meeting.
The Montgomery County Democratic Committee held it's annual Endorsement Convention on Thursday, February 19th at the Doubletree Hotel in King of Prussia, PA. At the convention, the recommended slate of candidates was unanimously endorsed, including Sean Kilkenny, who spoke at the convention of his lengthy experience as a Federal Prosecutor in the Army reserves, his career as a Lt. Colonial in the Army, and his life experience as the son of a police officer.
Sean Kilkenny, a resident of Montgomery County for more than 20 years has announced his candidacy for Sheriff. Kilkenny, the son of a police officer, a Lieutenant Colonel in the Army Reserves, and a Federal Prosecutor in the U.S. Army who had tried homicide and rape cases for more than 16 years was recommended to be the endorsed candidate by The Montgomery County Democratic Party's Executive Committee at their monthly meeting, Thursday evening.
